Inside Surge Sanctuary Supper Club at Unity Diner

Every month or so, Unity Diner and Surge Sanctuary come together for one of the most special evenings in East London’s vegan calendar: the Sanctuary Supper Club. It’s an evening of incredible vegan food, great company, and genuine purpose, raising funds to support rescued animals at Surge Sanctuary.

The most recent 6th Supper Club raised an incredible £1,727.10 through ticket sales, raffle tickets, merchandise, and the brand new Lion’s Mane Mushroom Kits. Every penny goes directly to Surge Sanctuary, helping fund the care of rescued animals and the charity’s vital advocacy work.

What Happens at a Supper Club?

The evening brings together the Unity Diner community for a ticketed dinner event, hosted by special guests. The most recent event was hosted by the brilliant Fat Gay Vegan, with representatives from Surge Sanctuary sharing the story of the animals they care for and the work they do.

Guests enjoy a specially curated vegan menu, a raffle, and this time around, got to take home Lion’s Mane Mushroom Kits so they could recreate the incredible Lion’s Mane mushroom burger dish at home. The kits are now available on the Surge Sanctuary website.

Why It Matters

Unity Diner exists to support Surge Sanctuary. Every meal served at Unity Diner contributes to the sanctuary’s mission of rescuing and caring for farmed animals and fighting for their rights. The Supper Club takes that mission further, bringing the community together to raise even more.
